The final piece of the FT-857D Manpack is arriving today, which is the Mobilinkd TNC 4. The TNC4 is designed for both APRS and general packet use. It is designed to interface with a wide range of mobile and base stations (as well as HTs). Very excited to test out since I think digital modes should be part of every ham's emergency comms. 😎
